Job Title: BI Architect - Power BI

Location: India

Position Overview:

As a BI Architect specializing in Power BI, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and efficient BI solutions that leverage the full capabilities of Power BI. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, define technical specifications, and architect solutions that meet business objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in BI architecture, data modelling, and analytics, along with deep expertise in Power BI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of BI solutions using Power BI, including data models, reports, dashboards, and interactive visualizations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architectural designs.
• Architect and implement data models, ETL processes, and data integration solutions to support business intelligence and analytics requirements.
• Design and implement data governance, security, and compliance measures to protect sensitive information and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate and recommend Power BI best practices, standards, and governance policies across the organization.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to BI developers, analysts, and architects, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Lead the selection and implementation of BI tools and technologies, ensuring alignment with architectural guidelines and strategic objectives.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in BI and analytics, and recommend opportunities for innovation and optimization.
• Any report migration/report rationalization experience
• Knowledge of crystal reports

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10 to 12 years of experience working in business intelligence, data warehousing, and analytics, with a focus on BI architecture and Power BI.
• Extensive hands-on experience designing and implementing BI solutions using Power BI, including data models, reports, dashboards, and interactive visualizations.
• In-depth knowledge of data modelling techniques, dimensional modelling, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView, or Looker is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful completion.

Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst are highly desirable.
