The Sr Software Engineer, Gov, Risk & Compl supports enterprise application security organization to define, deliver and support D&T enabled business solutions.  This role will also help support strategic direction, determine business needs and design & deliver technical solutions for application security using tools like SAP Security and GRC, etc.  This role has primary accountability for working on security solutions including projects, system enhancement and production support in alignment with West D&T and company policies and procedures.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Possess deep understanding of the overall vision and business needs and utilizes this knowledge to design and implement best in case application security controls. This includes interpreting any issues and recommending solutions or best practices. 

• Utilizes knowledge of best practices to define strategic direction, determine business needs and design & deliver technical application security and risk governance solutions, doing so in partnership with Application and Infrastructure. This includes interpreting up to the most complex issues and recommending solutions or best practices. 

• Spearhead the mapping of business requirements to optimal technical solutions. 

• Provide technical solutions that functionally to meet defined business requirements.
• Perform security role build, conduct workshops for requirements gathering.
• Use expertise on configuring S/4 HANA and Fiori security with good understanding of App types, catalogues, groups, OData services.

• Uses breadth of expertise to solve complex problems.  Provide system support and maintenance in alignment with standards and process set within the Services Delivery model, West policies and procedures as well as Regulatory requirements including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley and FDA GMP.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science Engineering, or other related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience: minimum 5+ years.
• Excellent communication skills to communicate with various stakeholders.
• Independently drive projects to completion.
• Collaboration skills to work within the team.
• Proven experience on troubleshooting access issues related to Transactions, Apps, Queries/reports and BPC tools like Analysis for Office etc. Configuration for user provisioning, role management, super user management, risk analysis, continuous control monitoring, risk assessment and management.  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong SAP Security Expertise with S/4 HANA Implementation experience.
• Experience in setting up security for APO, BW, BPC, HR.
• GRC Process Controls knowledge is desirable.
• Change Management process on Solution Manager (Charm),
• Experience with working on ITGC SOX controls reports.
