Job Title 

Software Engineer – SAP ABAP 

Experience 

3-5 years 

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related fields. 

• Basic understanding and knowledge of SAP – system functionality and technical understanding of SD and related areas (GTS, TM, WM, QM, PM, MM, PP). 

• Ability to support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target. 

• Ability to work in a global and virtual environment and to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure scenarios. 

• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced & complex environment with a self-motivated work ethic; utilize sound judgment with an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency. 

• Ability to comply with the company’s safety and quality policies at all times. 

Roles and responsibilities 

• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Sourcing to assist define detailed business requirements for D&T enablement of business needs. 

• Analyze strategic direction, determine business needs and design & deliver technical Sales and Distribution solutions in partnership with Application and Infrastructure teams.  

• Assist in mapping of business requirements to optimal technical solutions. 

• Provide technical delivery of functionalities to meet defined business requirements. 

• Provide system support and maintenance in alignment with standards and process set within the ERP Services Delivery model, West policies and procedures as well as Regulatory requirements including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley and FDA GMP. 

• Create and maintain system lifecycle documents in accordance with West policies and procedures, including creation and maintenance of SOPs, SOIs and Job Aids. 

• Work within and participate in the Change Control process.
