Key Responsibilities and Skills:

• ETL Development:

  Design, develop, and implement ETL workflows and mappings using Informatica PowerCenter. 

• Performance Tuning:

  Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in mappings and sessions, optimizing data flow and execution time. 

• Data Modeling and Warehousing:

  Understand and apply data modeling, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling concepts. 

• Technical Leadership:

  Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices. 

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with business analysts, database administrators, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions. 

• Documentation:

  Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, test plans, and procedures. 

• Problem Solving:

  Troubleshoot and resolve issues in ETL processes, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. 

• Testing:

  Perform unit testing and integration testing to ensure the quality of ETL processes. 

• Data Quality:

  Apply data quality techniques to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data. 

• Knowledge of Informatica Products:

  Expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, Data Quality (IDQ), and potentially other Informatica products. 

• Database Knowledge:

  Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and SQL. 

• Scripting:

  Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., UNIX shell scripts) for automating tasks.
